Rhino rugs are still, after so many years, a unique design of horse rug in the equestrian world. Using 1000D polypropylene fabric, which is, by its very nature, stronger than the widely used polyester fabric in horse blankets, it provides a durable, robust, lightweight fabric to use in a top rug, be it a Turnout (waterproof) or a Stable rug.
Rhino Turnouts have had Horseware's barrier layer technology added in. The Barrier Layer is an additional thin sheet of fabric underneath the tough outer that is highly waterproof and breathable. This allows Rhino turnouts to remain functional even if the outer manages to sustain some damage, until you can get it repaired.
